Mauli Ola Hawaii

Bowl in hand

Mauli Ola Hawaii – Hawaiian Health Symposium is a full day workshop focused on “Sense of Place.” To better understand the Expo theme – Malama Na Aina, coordinators hope to encourage individuals to first learn about their origins by understanding their genealogy as it ties to the land – Mo’o Kua’ahau. Then break out into groups to explore the Hawaiian healing arts and how each one connects to the land and the Hawaiian people’s origins – la’au lapa’au, ho’oponopono, and lomilomi. The finale will be a gathering to dance hula – the movement of health and the wellness component of the Hawaiian culture.
